SURVIVAL FUNDAMENTALS

Our survival fundamentals course gives you an insight into what it takes to be a survivor. Under the guidance of an expert  instructor you will learn the core principles of survival and develop vital skills to help you take on real wilderness experiences. You will be taught how to signal for help, how to light fires without lighters or matches, how to collect water and how to build makeshift shelters.

DESCRIPTION

This two day course is designed so everyone can enjoy the experience and take home some valuable knowledge and a deeper understanding of what it takes to be a survivor. This is a course everyone should attend if venturing past the urban fringes and into wilderness areas. You will then be much better prepared should something ever go wrong in one of these areas.

Based at a property just out of Taggerty, 1.5 hours from Melbourne, is a perfect location for this two day survival course. Surrounded by native bushland and located next to the Cathedral Ranges, this course is a brilliant way to escape city life and get back to basics.

Instructors will demonstrate how to light fires in traditional ways, such as friction fire lighting (rubbing two sticks together to create an ember). You will create your very own kit, which you can take home with you and practice until you have mastered this ancient skill.

Most of all you will learn valuable skills under the guidance of professional survival instructors who will expertly demonstrate each skill set and explain the process in detail. This really is a great course if you have an interest in survival subjects or have ever seen a TV show and wondered how do they do that?
